Holding a cutout map of Armenia during a press conference, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan denied that Armenia would surrender villages from the Tavush region to Azerbaijan. He asserted that discussions about such transfers have never occurred and will not take place in the future. However, Azerbaijan demands the immediate hand-over of four villages in the Tavush region, namely Asagi Eskipara, Baganis Ayr, Heyrimli, and Kizilhacili, as they were formerly inhabited by Azerbaijanis and thus are all located along the border on Azerbaijan’s northwestern Gazakh district.
